Peaks Island in the 1970s: Building a Community<\/h3>\n

The 1970s were a tumultuous time, but it was a watershed decade in the history of Peaks Island, when many of the essential organizations islanders depend on today were formed.<\/p>\n

This exhibit features over 50 never before exhibited photographs, publications, scrap books, posters, and maps depicting life on the island in this “lost” decade. Opens June 21, 2019.<\/p>\n

Jealous of the Stars: Photographs by Lucas Ryan<\/strong><\/p>\n

This new exhibit features the work of Lucas Ryan, a Chicago-based photographer with close family connections to Peaks Island. Lucas has visited the island every year since he was born. His night time views are stunning.<\/p>\n
